David Galbraith

Senior Advisor

David combines more than 25 years as an investor, entrepreneur, and product designer to provide distinguished innovation expertise.  As a general partner for 10 years at VC firm Anthemis ($1.5B AUM), he invested in the best startups across fintech, e-commerce, and clean tech.  Previous to his time as a VC investor, David cofounded MRL Ventures, a San Francisco-based incubator, where he led the project which became Yelp (IPO).

As an entrepreneur, David cofounded the first online genealogy service, Origins (acquired by D.C. Thomson).  He then cofounded a news search engine, Moreover (acquired by Lexis Nexis), where he helped create the RSS standard (underlies online syndication, including podcasts).  Calling on his experiences as a startup founder, David later advised The Port (Switzerland-based nuclear research center CERN’s accelerator program) and still continues to advise promising startups.

David holds a bachelor’s, postgraduate, and professional license in architecture from University College London (UCL).  He began his career as a qualified architect (Norman Foster).
